All our families have a part to play in the playgroup community. Everyday, one parent or carer is present during the playgroup session. This is organised via the Rota Secretary and means a parent/carer can expect to be on duty at least once a month.
Main duties centre around snack prep and distribution, routine cleaning of equipment and helping maintain a pleasant and tidy environment for the children. It is also a lovely opportunity for parents to see what we and the children get up to every day.
Expectant mothers in their 3rd trimester, and those with children under 6 months are excused from duty! Every parent or carer will need to join the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme as part of this rota duty - this is a free service and we supply and check all the paperwork.
