We are an established and much cherished early years childcare provider located in the heart of Bruntsfield, offering morning sessions for children aged 2 to 5 during term-time.
Our Vision is to meet the challenges of a changing world by providing a valued community space where families can bring their young children to play. Our Values of play and community underpin everything that we do.
Play
We are well-known for our child-led, vibrant and nurturing environment, where free play is protected and celebrated. We use play-based learning to nurture a child’s natural curiosity, social confidence and emotional resilience in our beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces.
We have a fantastic team of experienced, committed practitioners, who support and encourage the children’s play in a way that respects their needs, choices, and rights. We are guided by the frameworks of the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence, Realising the Ambition, Getting it Right for Every Child and the Playwork Principles, and build these into everything that we do to give your children the very best start in life.
Community
As a community playgroup and registered Scottish charity, our families have a direct voice in their child’s early years education. We welcome parents and carers into the setting, where they play an active role in the community, helping the children to form secure attachments to the practitioners and other children, and helping our families to make friends for life.

Funding
We are a Partner Provider for the City of Edinburgh Council. Your child will receive government funding from the term after their third birthday.
